For Senoir, I say Nastia if she lands her double front, juniors I think its Shawn The Next Olympic AA CHAMP's to lose.
1. Nastia 2. Chellsie 3. Shayla
- I've been really underwhelmed by Priess as senior, and Jana could easily sneak in top 3 like last year if one of those mentioned slips. As could Natasha Kelly but other than her beam I hope she doesn't 'cause I don't care for her gym.
1. Shawn 2. Tessa 3. Bonx
I think Rebecca Bross and Mattie Lawson will standout and place high, as well as Sarah DeMeo because gosh dangit, she should. Ivana or Sam Peznek could sneak in top five/seven if they've got got some upgrades as promised. I also want to see Bridget Sloan do well.
Everyone else?

I pretty much agree with all your predictions. Jana better do the triple and Nast better do the double. Enough said. Where'd Alicia Sacramone go? *yodels*

I also agree with those. I think Bross could do well also but I heard she had a small foot injury so hopefully it will be better by then. And Sam P might push her way up into the top 5. Monica Shoji may be a surprise since she hasn't competed all year, so she may have some new skills up her sleeve. And I want Kailey Tissue to qualify to nationals and then go on to a spot on the national team.

Yeah I'd forgotten about Bross' foot injury but since she's not elligible for Beijing anyway, whatever.
Since when has Alicia been an AA-er? Okay so technically she is - and she could place Top 5 but its going to get more and more difficult as the quad goes on and more talented juniors go senior - its not gonna be like last year.

I know...I mean, Monette wouldn't have medalled at this years Worlds AA or '07 or '08...its easy the year after and Olympics, so Alicia along with her health will be about 8th probably.
Go Shawn and Shayla!

I just thought of this, Jacq Jonhson may been up near the top five also, she did finish 3rd at the American cup.

She's out with an ankle injury. I doubt she'd be in top 3....sneak into top 5, maybe, top 10 sure.

I just thought of this, Jacq Jonhson may been up near the top five also, she did finish 3rd at the American cup. In qualifications? Damn the 3 per country rule. At first I was gonna say "No, that was Aisha Gerber," then I realised the pooey rule. It seems Jana's getting the worst out of that rule at the moment...not medalling at Pac 06 cuz of Chellsie and Nast, getting a high enough score but not being able to qualify to Worlds UB finals because of Chellsie and Nast...but thats another story.

I hate the country rule. By not letting someone into a final because there's already enough people for that country isn't fair. The top 3 gymnasts in the event will NOT be on the podium. If a country is good enough to have all of their gymnasts qualify, let them!

I forgot about her foot injury and I agree with the country rule, its not fair. If you finish three girls in the top three they all should compete.

I know ITA about the two-per-country rule. Its just stupid. I'm all for letting Sri Lanka and The Republic of WhoGivesACrapistan have competing teams, but that doesn't mean we need to bend over backwards and compromise the difficulty level of event finals and all-around competitions so Fredonia can have someone place 22nd.
'Cause you know what? At the end of the day, the dominating countries win anyway, whether there are 2 or 4 from one country competing in a final.
Notice that this rule happened once USA became the dominate team. Just saying
ETA - Oh and I'm not so sure about Bonx being top 3 in the junior division. Guess we'll see.

Yeah...it annoys me, because it actually isn't the best 3 in the World at that time or competition or whatever on the podium...its the better 2 from one country and someone bumped up. If they got bumped up they obviously aren't the best.

I saw the list of Jr.s competing on CPO, but I have two girls that qualified from my gym for elite this past month and they also qualified for classics, but I didn't see their names on the list. Does anyone know if there are more names on the list???

Well its not the most updated list and I think there were some recently qualified gymnasts not included - espeyshully if they just qualified elite Who from your gym made it? I read that a TON of juniors qualified to classics, so much so that they had to split the jr. competition into two divisions.
