So then. I wanna make a new montage, but am fed up of mine coming out mediocre/crap, so... How do you go about planning to do one? Do you watch all of the gym vids first and then put them in? Randomly upload them and move them about? Plan it for a year then start? Wah. Help.

For me its different depending on the subject and if I'm using WMM/or my crappy movie editor. Mostly I listen to the song and try to kind of visuaLizbiannnnnne what I want, as lame as that sounds. Or I know there's a few particular parts that I want a certain way and then fill in around the rest. Thats about the best I've ever done with it. Sometimes I can just do it as I go but usually I plan it around a few parts that I have timed. Unless the timing goes to hell then I get pissed and just finish it. Or unless I'm using WMM in which I just pray it works out right because you can plan around stuff for anything usually.
Yeah I don't think any of that incoherent rambling is gonna help you any but I love your montages dahling, like gymnasts say, don't give up, work hard and you can achieve anything!!!!

I just upload all videos I think will be relevant to the montage and make the clips go to the tempo, kinda... They just seem to flow. That was my 2 cent's worth. My montages lately seem to look like crap. Except the Marta one. That was ace. ;D

The only advice I'd give any montagers out there is:
Edit with a purpose. Make your choices DELIBERATE. Don't just ranodmly put in your favorite things to your current favorite song, which I used to do real bad. It rarely works out. Edit to the music, let the music inspire - as dumb as that sounds.

I think GymWorld had a thread like this, I'll see if I can find it.
