So as much as I detest the new KKKODE, at least its making some gymnasts - particularly Nastia - throw some new skills.
I'm excited about seeing Nastia's double front and Jana's supposed triple back.
Any thoughts? And what other new skills will some gymnasts be throwing if anyone knows...

I am excited too! ;D I think Tessa will have some new skills, she had talked about some in one of her journal entries. I also heard Nastia got new music so maybe she will now have four tumbling passes. (i am not 100% sure she didn't before but I recall her only having 3) And if Jana does a triple  I hope its true and not a rumor. |

well it was jana's mom who said something about the triple back, but we shall see.
And yes Nastia will have a new FX routine, squee!! Prior to this year she only had three passes and no double saltos, which is really sad for a World FX Silver medalist IMO. Glad to see she's upping the difficulty, even if her double front will be super cowboyed as I imagine it will be.

Nastia could easily throw a double... I think. That's just me. For some reason I imagine her doing fhs front whip (front layout) double front. there's no way in hell she couldn't do one. I can do one off the normal floor onto a rezi mat. If it doesen't work out for her, maybe she could do a full-in or something...  Tessa is working: Front pike sit mount on beam, DLO on floor, ro whip arabian double on floor, front tuck (over-rotated) shushanova (sp?), standing fulls on beam, I think maybe side somi's on beam, Ma's on bars (looking great)... I tink that's it. I can't wait to see the new and improved Tessa. w00t! ;D |

Yeah, and supposedly Chellsie's gonna do a full twisting DLO, and Shawn's gonna do double doubles on floor, and now Beth's changed her combo's around on bars too.
I always thought Nastia did 4 passes, but turns out she only did 3 at Worlds. The randi, a 2 1/2 and a triple, no? Thats kinda sad. I can't imagine her doing a double front, but Khorkina used to do full-in's tucked, so I'd give Nastia one of those.

Thats what i thought but some people seem to like Tessa a lot. Including me. But, seriously, I know Shawn will end up doing better *knock on wood*. They'll probably go 1 and 2 (well, hopefully). Bonx is doing great and she'll probably factor in on the junior medals, too. We'll have to wait and see.  |

Anyone else read that in the new interview on USAG Sam Pezsnek (however you spell that) is training a double-double and wants to pull it at nats? I'm torn between being in awe and hoping she doesn't break/burn out although she's hardly ever been my favorite.

Thing is, when Shawn + Tessa are Seniors, it's gonna be really hard for a 1-2 finish for them because of the STUPID 2 PER COUNTRY RULE. Nastia's gonna be there, and it's probably gonna be Tessa missing out  If she does an Olympic McCool I WILL cry. Not "might cry." But anyway. I haven't heard that, Lizbiannnnnn. It's like Jana's "triple back", even if she does it, I don't know whether I'll like her more. |

I'll like anyone who does a double-double, at least a little. I can use it in cool skill montages. And I agree, Beijing AA is gonna be harsh. Someone I love an unhealthy amount will be left out, and not just even in America, but like Pavs, 3P, Dykes, etc. Why can't we have like 12 people team? So what if the competition would be 10 hours long, it'd be worth it damnit. |

I like Sam, she has some big skills ;D and shes very powerful! And yes more girls dhoulf be on the team, its not fare to those who work just as hard and get cut short b/c a stupid rule
