Try taking a longer, deeper hurdle into your round-off. This will mkae the backhandspring longer and slower so you have more time to get your hands on the ground. You should also try doing a standing hurdle ro bhs so you have less power. Tell me how it is.

lol I but i am starting from a non running hurtal...my coach doesn't trust me to go from a run..for my display we had to make up tumbling passes...and i got so much power i did a back tuck... the first time i tried a back tuck i was passed by coaches head and shes like 5'6. I think my problem is scooping like i can do it with out the bhs really well..but when i add the bhs i go staright up..but i'll try it anyway

I could barely. My form was crap, but to a normal person who doesnt care about form, it sounds ok. It was like Tessa's bar routine was mine, nothing going on, then an interesting thing. lol.

Yeah, I hyper extended my knees. NO, that wasn't career ending, but whatever. But enough about me. More about bhs-ing!

I know I hate injury. It's -for lack of a better word- sh*t. Lets see what the censoring does with that, then. Ok, I censored it myself...cuz it didnt censor. I remember when I started learning bhs' I always used to not push off hard enough and stub my hands on the floor if that makes sense. Like I'd do more of a knuckle spring than hand spring. Hmmm And incase you wondered...I wasnt like a top level gienger-worthy gymnast. I was doing back tucks with a half twist off bars, and did one so close to the bar and messed it up and hit my hands off the bar - it looked like a gienger, and my coach jokingly said it was a gienger, and I practised a few.

I did that off like a mini tramp and we had to push off the mini tramp and do a round off backhandspring and i did that but on my knuckles and i sprained my finger really badly it still hurts me but there nothing i can do now except for ice it when it hurts lol
